Your union agreed to a tentative, recommended contract with the management of Rite Aid. This is a fair contract that includes wage increases for everyone and protects and improves your health care coverage.

We have scheduled contract ratification meetings for all members to ratify the new contract offer for Wednesday, July 16, 2008 in Needles, Blythe and El Centro and Thurday, July 17, 2008 in Bloomington, Victorville, Palm Desert and Menifee. Details on the times and locations of the vote will be sent to you by mail. You will receive details on the contract offer prior to voting on the meeting locations listed above.

This is a victory for all Rite Aid workers. We stood up to the employers and demanded a fair contract. We stayed committed to negotiations, because of this we able to negotiate a contract we can recommend without having to go on strike.

Thank you for standing up and staying strong over these past seven months. We know how hard it has been on you and your families.
