Indiana Union and Kroger Reach Deal

Kroger Co. announced Friday it has reached a tentative agreement with its 2,400 employees in northeast Indiana.

They are represented by United Food and Commercial Workers Local 700. Union representatives were not available for comment. The membership will vote on the pact Thursday.

"The company and the union worked together to reach an agreement that is good for associates, good for our customers and good for our company," said Bob Moeder, president of Kroger's Central Division, in a statement.

The contract would cover workers at Kroger, Scott's and Owen's stores.
